Ability to set personal reminders

I would like to be able to set personal reminders and not have to assign a specific contact to a reminder. I know I could just add myself as a contact to make it work, but would like to be able to assign it to myself w/o creating contact.

Remind ME ...
One way to do this would be to have a "reserved" contact in the system - ME - that is an alias for my email address. When I type in ME in the "who is the reminder for" it does the substitution behind the scenes.
I wonder if there might be other uses for the ME alias? Anyone have any ideas?
