I feel this is so important for effective relationship management. Especially as Google has already a birthday field.

I believe Keith Ferrazzi explained it perfectly in his book: 'Never Eat Alone' how powerful the right birthday congratulations can be. Especially as some people only get a handful of message let alone real phone calls or visits.

A quick reminder email with the birthdays from today or the next week would be excellent. Or even better if we can see a quick note in upcoming events, as birthdays from people in my network are important upcoming events.
