Is there a way for the date/time stamp to be populated automatically with current date/time?

Being able to access this via a mobile site would be very important even if only for just this feature as we make calls when out and about.

Hi folks,
So here's what we're thinking for a quick first version:
- We wanted to keep it unobtrusive so you only get the extended options if you hit the little pencil icon.
- We thought it would be pretty useful as well that when you logged a call/run in/etc that you could leave a note right away. So logging a call with an optional note would both reset your FollowUp timer and also leave you a note you can refer back to later.
- Items in the drop down are still TBD.
Obviously this will be something we keep iterating on for you, but we wanted to make sure we had something for you to start using in the short term.

Florian Hines: I think that'll work great. Simply being able to click and add an interaction so that the countdown clock for reminders starts over. I really like that you've added SMS etc...as well!

Florian Hines: That looks like a great first iteration. Thanks for listening to feedback and prioritizing.

Florian Hines: That looks great. The timestamp is important to me. My business phone automatically records all my conversation. If I want to listen to a call back I would need to know both date and time.

Florian Hines: This looks excellent. I'm a Contactually user and having this type of functionality is super important. Also, resetting the follow-up timer is important here too.
If I call / text / meet up with someone, I want to be able to log what we talked about (without character limitations!) and then have it reset the follow-up clock.
I think some basics to start (Phone / Social Network / Text / In-person) would be great options.

I'd like to see this as a manual add for any type of contact we've made - phone, text, LinkedIn message, Facebook message, ran into at event, etc. I would also add that we contacted them via email using a different email address (e.g. work, email on client's domain email account, etc. We all use many ways to stay in contact. Email (and the associated contact list) tends to be the one that is consistent over time and jobs. However, to be a truly great personal CRM, it needs to allow for reminders and follow ups from any of the major ways we contact people. Letting us update these manually provides the functionality without a ton of code overhead.
Pick the major ones and make those tags/options for how we contacted the contact. That will give FollowUp the ability to potentially add in the future around 1) overall analytics on most used contact methods 2) suggestions for how to contact the person based on past contact methods, etc.

Agree with manual add for any type of contact we have made as an option to trigger reminders for follow ups is a huge for me

Would launching the call/ text/ whatsapp message from within the app be an option? This could potentially allow logging of the action before auto opening the relevant application to action the communication.

Automatic logging would be huge for me. (perhaps on Android first)
Manual logging might help me if there is an easy way on entering (on my mobile device)

I like manual entry - keep it simple. Keep it lightweight.
Contact was contacted [tick] and maybe a note?
Or just
[] Phone []In person [] etc
Angela Anderson
Jonathan Du Toit: I agree with this method also, just a quick "I contacted {person} on {date} via {LinkedIn/text message/phone} to reset the clock on the next reminder. Extra points if it can be linked to a note but just the date would be enough for me.
Clay Gordon
Jonathan Du Toit: I agree with keeping the UI/UX as simple as possible, especially when first adding a contact. I have been using ProsperWorks and Nimble and there's just too much friction involved in the most basic tasks.
Default (autofill) to the current contact and date.
Link to reset the clock on a connected reminder.
Attach to a specific reminder.
Option to add a note describing what was discussed.
